Gujarat Operations Lead

Gandhinagar, Fluency in Gujarati

Lead program in Gujarat by building government partnerships, leading the state team, facilitating trainings, and supporting implementation and documentation.


Role Expectations

  • Develop strong working relationships with various government officials in Gujarat government schools and education departments. Liaison and coordination with the concerned government officials regularly.

  • Maintain and build new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with government officials in Gujarat.

  • Develop a strong working relation with mentor teachers and well-being program coordinators of as many schools as possible.

  • Work closely with the state team to support the completion of any tasks related to the effective state-wide implementation of the program as needed.

  • Support in the data collection and documentation of the on-ground impact.

  • Work on documentation of reports, research, and other professional outputs according to the organizational guidelines and government requirement.

  • Collaborate and support other teams in conducting impact visits of partners, donors, and internal team members.

  • Support with any miscellaneous requests from the government officials for successful implementation of the program.

  • Act as a bridge between concerned government officials and our Curriculum & Training team to support capacity building and program implementation.

  • Document and communicate the research and SEL-related gaps/stressors that the state government officials/school officials face.

  • Represent Labhya to its multilateral partners, if needed, conduct meetings to strengthen existing and form new relationships.

  • Facilitate teacher training sessions to build capacity and prepare detailed training modules (develop interactive lesson plans/activities for different training programs).

  • Support in forming a team for the state and manage the human resource capital that may join Labhya in the State.

  • Leading and training the state team of Labhya to drive the impact in the state.

Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience
  • 4-7 years of on-ground experience with children/youth and government officials in teacher training and program implementation is required.

  • Prior experience in education, teacher training and mental health as well as government relations, curriculum and setting up state-level teams to create maximum impact.

Characteristics
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, relationship-building, project planning, documentation and team leadership skills are non-negotiable.

Programs, Associate Director

Delhi, Fluency in Hindi and English

Lead the design and implementation of SEL programs across states, ensuring strategic alignment, program fidelity, and strong government partnerships. Oversee curriculum contextualization, training design, and data-driven program improvement. Program Strategy & Leadership

  • Provide technical expertise and strategic leadership to design, contextualize, and implement Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs across diverse states.

  • Develop and oversee multi-year strategic plans for program rollout across state partners, in collaboration with various teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and highest levels of implementation fidelity.

  • Identify enablers and barriers to effective program implementation using field insights.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Labhyas SEL approach with government stakeholders and other external partners.

Curriculum & Pedagogy

  • Ensure that all SEL program content created at Labhya is age-appropriate, evidence-based, culturally relevant, and aligned with national/state education frameworks, Labhyas theory of change, and child developmental milestones.

  • Embed principles of equity, inclusivity, and trauma-informed care within the curriculum, training modules, and delivery models.

  • Regularly review, iterate, and contextualize teaching-learning materials and training content based on on-ground feedback and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) data.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Design, lead and facilitate high-quality training experiences for teachers, and relevant government stakeholders, creating clear and actionable entry points for SEL within education systems.

  • Drive capacity-building initiatives to enhance the teams capabilities in SEL, pedagogy, facilitation, and program design.

  • Promote continuous team learning through coaching, feedback, and structured opportunities for professional development and leadership.

Program Implementation & Fidelity

  • Ensure the highest levels of program fidelity through close collaboration with state and field teams.

  • Establish and maintain effective coordination mechanisms between program, operations, and MEL functions to support smooth and consistent implementation.

People Leadership

Educational Qualification

  • Experience of coaching and mentoring teams across geographies is mandatory.

  • Prior experience of working with children or youth is highly preferable.

Role Expectations

  • Support in the design of A/B tests and field experiments to evaluate the impact of program tweaks (curriculum, training, delivery models, etc.) on teacher and student outcomes.

  • Assist in planning and executing rapid experiments, including preparation of tools, protocols, coordination with field teams etc.

  • Work with programs and data teams to ensure high-quality data collection.

  • Support the analysis and interpretation of experiment results real-time, and ensure key learnings are integrated into program design.

Uttarakhand Operations Field Officer

Haridwar/Roorkee/Rudrapur/Ullasanagar, Fluency in Hindi and English

Support program and curriculum design by creating and localizing SEL content, facilitating teacher training across districts, and contributing through research, data analysis, and on-ground implementation with government partners.


Role Expectations

  • Assist in data collection, documentation and communication for baseline and endline assessments and with government stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular visits (35 per week) to selected Model Schools of Change to monitor Anandam implementation and provide on-ground support.

  • Provide support in the development of simple training content or session materials.

  • Support the Operations team in maintaining relationships with district, block, and school-level government officials.

  • Coordinate with Anandam coordinators, master trainers, trainers, headmasters, and teachers to provide regular programmatic support.

  • Drive operational alignment by translating state-level program goals into actionable plans for the district teams.

  • Ensure rigorous data collection, tracking, and reporting across districts. Monitor progress and quality of implementation through data review, field observations and feedback from stakeholders.

  • Troubleshoot escalated issues from field teams, ensuring proactive resolution and consistent engagement with state/district/block officials.

  • Coordinate and lead planning for partner visits, reviews, and presentations involving external stakeholders.
