Role Expectations

  • Develop creative, engaging content and manage content across various Government digital platforms, including Facebook and YouTube.
  • Act as the primary on-ground communication representative of Labhya at the district, block, and school levels, representing the organisation with credibility, sensitivity, and professionalism.
  • Systematically document program implementation and impact through photographs, videos, observations, and written narratives from schools and communities.
  • Strengthen state-level PR efforts by identifying, building, and maintaining relationships with relevant media agencies, firms, and organisations, and by drafting clear, government-aligned press notes for publication.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Design Education, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.


Experience

  • 1-2 years+ of experience in full-time professional experience in some communication-related field (prior nonprofit or startup experience is preferred)
  • Proficiency in developing creative, engaging content and managing content across various digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides.

  • Experience in teacher training programs and facilitation is good to have.

  • Prior experience of working with school officials or government officials is highly preferred.
  • Excellent writing and translation skills, with a strong command of Bengali and English.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills in English and Bengali to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders, including donors, media, and partners.
  • Attention to detail and process orientation.

  • Decent sense and understanding of core principles of design (design, aesthetic, color theory including but not limited to).

Gujarat Operations, Lead
